Job Summary:

Requirements

• The minimum required age is 21 years
• Navigate and pass the drug test requirement for Ryder
• Compliance with Ryder's standards includes passing a background screening, motor vehicle inspection, and submitting records of drug and alcohol screening from former employers dating back three years
• Comply with the health standards set by the Department of Transportation
• Accomplish the necessary skills to pass the Ryder road examination
• It is necessary to possess a valid CDL and any essential endorsements to be considered for this position
• Compulsory qualification entails having authentic experience driving a tractor-trailer or a similar Class A vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Applicants must demonstrate two years of experience within the past five years
• Accumulated five years of professional experience within the last ten years
• Demonstrating the ability to conform to given written or oral instructions
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying rules, regulations, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Maintaining compliance with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines is key
• Recognizing and minimizing safety risks, along with meticulous record-keeping and logging
• Assisting in the handling of freight while loading or unloading as specified by the client
• Carries out extra tasks as required
