Job Summary

As a US FOODS Driver, you will play a critical role in our team and be one of the important faces of our organization. Your efforts will have a direct impact on our customers by delivering our products to their drop-off site.

Roles and Duties:

• Safely deliver goods to customers by driving trucks and meeting designated delivery times
• Carefully extract items from the trailer with the help of a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or manual handling, and organize them in the designated areas for customers
• Ensure the correctness of deliveries through customer validation and collecting the proper signatures
• Fulfill the task of managing customer payments and collections when applicable
• Conduct customer service tasks skillfully to elevate client satisfaction levels
• Make sure to conduct thorough equipment inspections prior to trips and after returning

Physical Requirements

• Applicants must demonstrate the physical capability to repetitively manage products weighing between 20 and over 80 pounds through lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling during each shift
• Being adept at driving and working in unfavorable weather conditions while making numerous stops (over 10 per shift) is vital

What You Bring to the Table

• Complete the necessary steps to register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• The age requirement is a minimum of 21 years
• A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of domicile, with the required endorsements and in line with DOT standards, is a mandatory requirement
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Being adept at handling a manual transmission is preferred and may be a prerequisite in specific areas
• Proficiency in the English language is vital for engaging in conversations, comprehending highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
