Production Associate

Job Summary

Supports Savers vision by assisting drivers to properly unload donations onto carts in the warehouse, separating soft and hard goods, large items and furniture, weighing carts, organizing full carts in warehouse, accurately completing route paperwork with weights and truck checks of empty trucks, loading trailers according to specific Savers guidelines, continuously recording product weights and type while loading trailers, assist with daily counting and entry of Stock on Hand. Assist in loading/unloading trucks for transfers to stores.

Roles and Duties:

• Performs truck/trailer loading and unloading activities following the guidance provided by supervisors
• Arranges boxes, packages, and bags on trolleys to validate their weights
• Organize bulky belongings in the allocated area
• Position the furniture in the designated space
• Responsible for the cleanliness and clearance of aisles and pathways from any obstructions.
• Employ a calculator with precision to subtract or add tare weights from filled carts of items and establish the net weights accurately
• Make a record of the cart numbers, weights, and time taken for unloading on the driver's route paperwork
• Comply with the completion of Savers Delivery Reports by incorporating all the necessary details
• Record the inventory levels in the warehouse and trailers daily in the appropriate documentation format
• Inspects forklifts to confirm they meet the safety and operational criteria established by Savers and the state regulations.
• Undertake miscellaneous tasks as needed, such as ensuring tidiness in the office and restroom sections

Qualifications:

• Mastery of OSHA, state, and Savers safety regulations and requirements is essential for managing safety protocols efficiently
• Demonstrated organization skills
• Capacity to handle a forklift
• Capacity to communicate coherently through spoken and written mediums
• Handling multiple incoming and outgoing shipments concurrently
• Proficiency in generating delivery records and cargo documentation
• Competence in grasping directions communicated through written, oral, graphical, or organized manner
• Proficient in prioritizing assignments, meeting timelines with adaptability, and multitasking with independence
• Capability to be precise and meticulous in tasks.
• Can occasionally bear loads of up to 70 lbs in weight
• The expertise in maneuvering a pallet jack by exerting force to either pull or push it with precision
• Aptitude for shifting or pushing loaded carts onto the scale to determine weight
• Aptitude to handle the temperature fluctuations commonly found in warehouse settings
• Continuously standing, walking, bending, and lifting are necessary to accomplish daily tasks without pause

Education and Experience:

• The accomplishment of a high school diploma or an analogous qualification is pivotal for personal development and higher education pursuits
• Experience in docks or warehouses is considered a plus
• Forklift training certification
• Implementing correct lifting procedures and methods is key to ensuring safety and reducing the likelihood of accidents
