Position Description

Ryder works behind the scenes providing technology-driven supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions to companies of all sizes from emerging retailers to some of the world's most known brands. Requirements:

• Obtaining a high school diploma or its similar alternative is a common prerequisite in the job market
• The position requires an untarnished driving history, access to a personal vehicle, and the flexibility to travel within the vicinity for an estimated 25-50% of the day
• Having a proficient technical acumen that involves the utilization of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, proficient operation of scanners, and accurately inputting orders into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Obligated to be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds on one's own
• The ability to perform tasks inside as well as outside is essential for this position

Requirements:

• It is advantageous to possess a high school diploma or its equal
• Those with one year or more of experience in warehouse tasks or operating powered industrial trucks are strongly encouraged to apply
• Holds a legitimate license as a forklift operator
• Demonstrates excellence in both spoken and written communication skills
• Skilled in carrying out tasks alone or in a team setting
• Proficient in teamwork and capable of navigating a diverse professional landscape
• Proficient in developing and preserving professional relationships within the organization across all levels (coworkers, teams, clients, supervisors) and adept at operating effectively in a diverse work setting
• Comprehensive and trustworthy
• Being prompt and having a solid attendance track record is highly valued
• Operates autonomously with little need for constant monitoring
• Displays a keen sense of taking the lead independently
• Demonstrates a superior ability to maintain accuracy, even when dealing with challenging conditions
• Able to pick up and transport items that weigh up to 35 lbs
• Capability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing
• Skill in performing responsibilities with a focus on health and safety practices
• Flexibility in working hours and shifts is essential for this position
• Recognized for being detail-oriented and for maintaining rigorous follow-up practices.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake warehouse operations, which may encompass loading, selecting, packing, dispatching, receiving, operating forklifts, and performing stock assessments
• Ensuring compliance with the performance measurement criteria outlined in the contract when carrying out responsibilities
• Tasked with the accurate selection and packaging of goods, conducting audits, initiating totes, staging products for transportation, and managing truck loading and unloading operations
• Responsible for managing the paperwork tasks that occur daily in a warehouse, which include picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
• Delivering support and maintenance for various aspects associated with the automated packaging system during the core production shift
• Executing obligations in alignment with the performance measurement standards detailed in the agreement
• Completes tasks beyond the designated responsibilities.

Equipment:

• Inbound Products Oversight: Supervising the handling of merchandise like bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors upon arrival.
• Equipment such as stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks play a critical role in material handling operations
