Position Description

Ryder works behind the scenes providing technology-driven supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions to companies of all sizes from emerging retailers to some of the world's most known brands. Our solutions cover the entire supply chain from port-to-door including warehouse management, distribution management, e-commerce fulfillment, managed transportation, last mile delivery, freight brokerage, truck leasing, maintenance, truck rental, and used vehicle sales, as well as provide proprietary technology platforms and trained employees.

Requirements:

• Completion of high school or a comparable credential is often a requirement for various job opportunities
• Prospective candidates should maintain a clean driving record, possess a personal vehicle, and expect to be on the road within the area for 25-50% of the day
• Possessing a robust technical skill set that encompasses the effective utilization of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with adept operation of scanners and the inputting of orders into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Must demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
• The job requires the flexibility to work in varying environments, including indoors and outdoors

Requirements:

• Having a high school diploma or its equivalent is desirable
• Candidates who have one year or more of experience in warehouse roles or driving powered industrial trucks are preferred
• Possesses an authorized forklift operator's license
• Strong abilities in articulate verbal and written expression
• Capable of operating self-sufficiently or in cooperation with others
• Skilled at working harmoniously in a team and adapting well to diverse workplaces
• Possessing the skill to forge and sustain professional relationships throughout different organizational levels (colleagues, teams, clients, superiors) and being capable of thriving in a diverse work atmosphere
• Dependable and meticulously detailed
• It is essential to be punctual and maintain a reliable attendance record
• Shows independence in task execution with minimal oversight
• Shows a remarkable level of self-starting ability
• Displays a notable level of correctness, even in stressful situations
• Strength to lift or exert force on objects up to 35 lbs
• Endurance to remain upright for a lengthy duration
• Competence in executing duties in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• Must be open to working varying hours and shifts based on the job requirements
• Known for meticulous attention to detail and consistent post-action monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out warehouse duties, which might involve loading, choosing, packaging, dispatching, accepting, using forklifts, and performing cycle checks
• Following the performance measurement guidelines of the contract while performing assigned duties
• Accountable for accurately selecting and packing items, conducting audits, introducing totes, arranging products for transportation, and managing the loading and unloading process
• Duties involve overseeing the day-to-day paperwork tasks in a warehouse setting, such as picking sheets, item returns, and bill of lading processes
• Providing aid and upkeep services for diverse elements connected to the automated packing system throughout the core operational period
• Meeting the performance evaluation benchmarks specified in the contract
• Executes any other responsibilities given.

Equipment:

• Management of Inbound Merchandise: Overseeing the arrival of products like bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors, among others.
• Stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks are vital pieces of equipment for logistics and material transport
