Job Summary

As a US FOODS Driver, you will have a vital role in our team and be a key ambassador for our organization. Your actions will directly impact our customers by ensuring the prompt delivery of our products to their designated drop-off sites.

Roles and Duties:

• Safely maneuver trucks to reach clients on time and uphold scheduled delivery appointments
• Systematically transfer products from the trailer utilizing tools such as a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or hands, and arrange them in the designated areas for customers
• Check the precision of the delivery through customer confirmation and collection of the proper signatures
• Oversee the handling of payments and collections from clients if needed
• Conduct customer service duties in a professional capacity to enrich the client's experience
• Perform detailed equipment inspections prior to embarking on a trip and afterwards

Physical Requirements

• The role mandates the consistent handling of products ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds, requiring physical strength to lift, carry, push, and pull
• Competence in managing adverse weather situations and making numerous stops (exceeding 10 per shift) is mandatory

What You Bring to the Table

• Complete the registration process for the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• To be eligible, you must have reached the age of 21
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A from the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and adherence to DOT qualifications, is a must
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Preferably able to drive a manual car, especially in specific geographic areas
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite to effectively communicate, comprehend highway traffic indicators, respond to official queries, and maintain accurate records.
