Job Summary

Delivers a distinctive and positive customer experience by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Responsible for assisting customers with products and services, maintaining merchandise displays, and supporting store operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer inquiries and ensures a positive shopping experience.
• Shares customer service best practices and models courteous interpersonal habits.
• Operates assigned cash register, processes transactions, handles returns and refunds.
• Recommends products and companion items to enhance customer purchases.
• Maintains clean and organized counters and shelves, stocks inventory, and performs pricing duties.
• Implements asset protection procedures to reduce profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Constructs promotional and seasonal merchandise displays as directed.
• Follows proper food handling procedures and participates in stock rotation practices.
• Provides customer support in the photo area and fulfills web order pick-up requests.
• Assists with store cleanliness, both interior and exterior.
• Adheres to company policies and maintains respectful relationships with team members.
• Completes special assignments and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preferred: Previous work experience with Walgreens.
