Position Description

Ryder works behind the scenes providing technology-driven supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions to companies of all sizes from emerging retailers to some of the world's most known brands. Our solutions cover the entire supply chain from port-to-door including warehouse management, distribution management, e-commerce fulfillment, managed transportation, last mile delivery, freight brokerage, truck leasing, maintenance, truck rental, and used vehicle sales, as well as provide proprietary technology platforms and trained employees.

Requirements:

  • Completion of high school or a comparable credential is often a requirement for various job opportunities
  • Meeting specifications involves having a clear driving record, personal transportation, and being prepared to travel locally for approximately 25-50% of the day
  • Possessing a robust technical skill set that encompasses the effective utilization of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with adept operation of scanners and the inputting of orders into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Should be able to handle loads of up to 50 pounds single-handedly
  • The job requires the flexibility to work in varying environments, including indoors and outdoors

Requirements:

  • Having a high school diploma or its equivalent is desirable
  • Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of experience in warehouse work or powered industrial truck operations
  • Possesses an authorized forklift operator's license
  • Advanced skills in effective verbal and written communication
  • Capable of operating self-sufficiently or in cooperation with others
  • Having the aptitude to collaborate effectively within a diverse work environment
  • Possessing the skill to forge and sustain professional relationships throughout different organizational levels (colleagues, teams, clients, superiors) and being capable of thriving in a diverse work atmosphere
  • Thorough and consistent
  • It is essential to be punctual and maintain a reliable attendance record
  • Performs duties with minimal need for close supervision
  • Shows a remarkable level of self-starting ability
  • Executes tasks with exceptional precision, even when faced with pressure
  • Strength to lift or exert force on objects up to 35 lbs
  • Capacity to withstand standing for extended periods
  • Competence in executing duties in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • The candidate should be willing to work on a flexible schedule that includes different shifts
  • Known for meticulous attention to detail and consistent post-action monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out warehouse duties, which might involve loading, choosing, packaging, dispatching, accepting, using forklifts, and performing cycle checks
  • Adhering to the performance evaluation benchmarks set forth in the agreement when executing tasks
  • Accountable for accurately selecting and packing items, conducting audits, introducing totes, arranging products for transportation, and managing the loading and unloading process
  • Responsible for managing the administrative documentation within a warehouse environment, including picking lists, return procedures, and shipping paperwork
  • Providing aid and upkeep services for diverse elements connected to the automated packing system throughout the core operational period
  • Following the performance measurement criteria outlined in the contractual agreement
  • Executes any other responsibilities given.

Equipment:

  • Management of Inbound Merchandise: Overseeing the arrival of products like bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors, among others.
  • Pallet jacks, along with stand-up and sit-down forklifts, are essential machinery for efficient material handling
