Position Description

Ryder works behind the scenes providing technology-driven supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions to companies of all sizes from emerging retailers to some of the world's most known brands. Our solutions cover the entire supply chain from port-to-door including warehouse management, distribution management, e-commerce fulfillment, managed transportation, last mile delivery, freight brokerage, truck leasing, maintenance, truck rental, and used vehicle sales, as well as provide proprietary technology platforms and trained employees.

Requirements:

• Attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary for many entry-level positions
• Applicants must demonstrate a clean driving background, own a personal vehicle, and be willing to travel locally for a significant portion of the day
• Demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as operating scanners and inputting orders into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Expected to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds without any support
• It is necessary to be capable of working in both indoor and outdoor settings

Requirements:

• Preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants with a background of one year or more in warehouse responsibilities or using powered industrial trucks are sought after
• Certified with a valid license for operating forklifts
• Proficiency in conveying messages effectively through speech and writing
• Possessing the skill to function autonomously and collaboratively within a group
• Showing abilities as a team player and excelling in a multicultural work environment
• Ability to establish and uphold professional connections across various tiers of the company (coworkers, teams, clients, managers) and adept at operating in a varied workplace setting
• Consistently thorough and reliable
• Being on time and having a strong attendance history are crucial
• Works proficiently with minimal supervision

• Exhibits impressive accuracy, particularly when under pressure
• Capability to carry or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds

• Demonstrating a keen eye for details paired with strong adherence to follow-up procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Execute warehouse tasks, such as loading, selecting, boxing, delivering, accepting, operating forklifts, and conducting inventory audits
• Accomplishing tasks within the performance assessment framework established in the agreement
• Responsible for ensuring precise selection and packaging, reviewing orders, introducing totes, preparing products for shipment, and handling the loading and unloading of vehicles
• In charge of handling the routine paperwork responsibilities in a warehouse environment, such as picking lists, returns processing, and billing documentation
• Offering technical assistance and maintenance support for various components of the automated packaging system during the primary production shift hour
• Complying with the performance assessment guidelines set out in the contract
• Carries out additional tasks as required.

Equipment:

• Handling Products: The supervision of incoming items like bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors is essential.
• Stand-up and sit-down forklifts, in addition to pallet jacks, are instrumental in facilitating the movement of goods within a warehouse setting
