Packaging Technician

Job Summary:

General Mills is seeking a Packaging Technician at our Kansas City, MO facility. This role supports packaging and processing operations in a 24/7 food manufacturing environment. Candidates will be involved in startup, changeover, shutdown, and routine maintenance of production equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts with starting pay of $26.15/hour and progressive increases up to $28.43/hour after completion of required training.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all packaging lines efficiently and safely.
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance within capability; assist with advanced tasks.
• Perform quality assurance checks including HACCP, weight, seal, and metal detection tests.
• Document production data and quality check results accurately.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Train and support new employees in packaging operations.
